Day 1 - Travel to Charleston, SC. Afternoon arrival and Horse Drawn Carriage tour of the historic district your guide will be dressed in a Confederate uniform and will inform and entertain you with historical facts, lore, and humor about this 300 year old city. Dinner is at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

Day 2 - Morning tour of the Magnolia Plantation & Gardens a home that has survived the centuries and witnessed the history of our nation unfold before it from the American Revolution through the Civil War and more. Your admission ticket includes both the Gardens and the Plantation House.

Shopping and Lunch on own at Old City Market. A must to see, there are a total of four buildings spanning from Meeting Street to East Bay Street. An assortment of wares is sold by hundreds of vendors. You will find local artists, jewelry, tapestry, souvenirs, church dolls,afghans, rugs, rice, beans and sauces, local candies and cookies and much more.

This afternoon you enjoy a boat ride to Fort Sumter Tour, the island fort where the Civil War began. Historians will provide detailed information about the fort and its pivotal role in the War between the States. There is a museum with fascinating exhibits and a small gift shop for your enjoyment.

Your farewell dinner this evening is at charming Poogan's Porch, one of Charleston’s oldest and most reputable culinary establishments. They serve upscale Low Country cuisine.

Day 3 - This morning you tour Drayton Hall the only plantation home on the Ashley to survive intact until today. Built in 1738 it is a colonial era treasure. You will have a chance to tour both the home and gardens. Depart for Home.
