Day 1 - As you pass Charleston, you will take SR 60 the Midland Trail Scenic Highway onto the East Rim of the New River Gorge. Photo Stops at Kanawha Falls, Cathedral Falls, and Hawks Nest State Park. You will also stop at the New River Gorge Bridge Visitors Center and learn the history of the second tallest single arch bridge in the world. Arrive Beckley, WV for a two night stay.

Hotel check in. Dinner and shopping at the Tamarack Craft Center. Evening performance of the Hatfield and McCoys Outdoor Drama (June 8 - August 22, add $17 per person) .

Day 2 - Morning visit to the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine, Coal Camp, and Mountain Homestead learn of life in the coal camps it's better than reading a page from our history, you actually walk through the story.

Afternoon of Whitewater Rafting on the Lower New River. All Passengers must paddle. This will take 3-5 hours. (Float Trips and Wild Whitewater are also available). Shower and changing facilities are available after rafting (passengers should bring towels and change of clothes).

Gourmet Buffet Dinner this evening overlooking the New River Gorge. Plus, an after dinner Campfire (weather dependent), featuring the campfire, smores and a guitar player.

Day 3 - Depart Beckley bound for home.

Notes: Rafting Choices include either a 1/2 day float; or a 1/2 paddled trip on the Upper New (tamest) or a 1/2 or full day on the Lower New where everyone must paddle (mild rapids).
